Today's Tip

My Top Seven Secrets for Creating Mind Blowing Events

Just like a celebrity who hails from actor parents, I was raised living and breathing the event business. Whether I chose to focus on it or not, I learned by osmosis what makes a great event, party, conference or social experience and what, clearly, does not. I've carried these secrets with me for years and applied them to my own personal gatherings and my business on a subliminal level, without a true awareness of my "insider's knowledge."

I feel like i can totally relate to this this background here. What a great analogy. I grew up in DC all around politics and look where I ended up.haha

Also i am going to be doing lots of event planning. They have an expression around here........ a new gerund phrase "breaking the elevator". The elevator in this building is very finicky and doesn't respond kindly to being over loaded. It has broken 3 times since Joe has been at this HQ, each time there has been any kind of event!

Flexibility

I've had a slight headache since 11 ish. Unable to pinpoint the cause. Taking it lightly, however.
Earlier a linked popped up on my AOL news (yes, I still read that account, it's ok to laugh at me) about how headaches are pervasive but ignored. http://www.kidglue.com/2010/09/01/back-to-school-is-here-and-with-it-headache-season-for-your-kids/ I know from my health psychology class why they are so easy to ignore, first because a lot of pain is in the head, and headaches can be a symptom to such a variety of things really anything.
Normally I would brush it off but I'm in major problem solving mode. It was immediately put on my personal to do list to keep Advil in my tote bag from now on. I always laugh at my mom who WebMDs everything but I think I can sympathize now. And, Joe in our office cracked his tooth yesternight. And, I was told this is the only time to make Dr. visits. Anyway I told Joe and Ben, my office mates that WebMD, is pretty much like a horoscope and that you can pretty much read anything into it you want to.

Google health says "A tension headache is a condition involving pain or discomfort in the
head, scalp, or neck, usually associated with muscle tightness in
these areas." Makes sense, not unlike the stiffness I was feeling in legs this morning durning my slight 10mins on the elliptical.

A good lesson indeed in being flexible. That's the only way to be! You won't survive this job if you can't go with the flow and be loose.

Also I have had a vivid and reoccurring dream (well like 3 times over the past couple months) that I can do the splits . It's not in front of anyone, but the point seems to be that I am surprised at the ease which I manage to do it, even in the dream.

Flexibility isss soooo crucial to mental stability. This is serving as a self-reminder to how important it is to stay flexible from the inside out

Top40 song that fits the occasion: Impossible by Shontell

Begin

I want to chart my experiences of this latest adventure. I am most excited to embark on something I can totally immerse myself. Right now I think the Pasty Cline song Crazy totally captures my life. When you really think about it's a nice song about non-attachment.

I hope to give you something cool to follow along
I will do my best to capture each outfit that I wear each day. It's the best when you have a reason to keep coming back and taking a picture of my elf is something that I can do quickly, so I can keep this up even when things are really hectic.

Another goal:

dealing with clothes,
As it was a bit of an issue that popped up came up while I was packing. I want to lose weight. I will be soo busy that I won't have time to eat constantly and its wisest to eat healthfully for optimal energy.

Tertiary goal:
work in a new GRE word to my post;)

Love, ME
